I've been busy packing trying to bring as much as possible and deciding what goes to Salvation Army haha. It's funny how much of junk that accumulates over the years.

I'm still trying to absorb it all. It's like getting cold feet before you're getting married. haha . The fact that I'll be leaving this place. The fact that I'm graduating after 5 long years. The fact that I'll be working and entering the working world. But I guess I just need more time. 

A very close friend of mine got me a small bottle of Glenfiddich scotch whiskey 2 years ago during her trip to the UK . She said "..this is my graduation present to you , so drink it when u graduate." At that time , I was thinking that'll be ages away. hmm. And now its only 2 days away . 

Life is good :) I'm appreciating every moment .

I can't wait for graduation which is only 8 days shy :)

Flat hunting

Visited a couple of flats today. Thank u Tim for driving me around :) lol. You're the best .

The first flat we visited was c.r.a.p . It was so crap that I imagined my dad crying if he found out that I lived there. sigh. I was a lil bit disappointed cos the rent was so cheap $120 , for rent alone. And it was so close to the pharmacy I'll be working at. I think I got turned off when I saw the shower . The water pressure was so low as if someone was pissing on u , a small stream of water. So pathetic ! And .. my living room is also my bedroom. No , I will not settle for less !!

However, we decided not to give up . I texted the agent again , asking if we could visit a bedsit nearby.Bonus point: Also very very close to my pharmacy (5min walk).

When we got to the house , I saw a small dog (not sure what the breed was) running and barking towards us . Thank God he was stopped by the gates. lol. I was a lil terrified , but Tim as usual , tried petting the dog =.= The owner came out eventually after all that barking. Surprising enough , he was really nice.

He showed us around and I was blown away by his garden . Oh my goodness.. it was so pretty !!! the flowers were all in full bloom :) *Imagine botanical gardens. The bed sit was so adorable , and so cosy ! It was fully furnished , my own kitchen, own bathroom/toilet, own washing machine, queen size bed, own dressing table , cupboards, and TV! WHAT ELSE COULD I ASK FOR ! and they have a dog (who warmed up to me later . haha) . Although the place was a lil pricey , Tim and I did the math . And I can afford it , just need to budget properly. The place was so clean , the owner was soooo nice (he even made us tea) . And so yeah. This might be my future home :) Will be meeting him and his wife tmrw , to finalise and discuss a few things. *Fingers crossed everything goes well :)

Today , I randomly decided to treat myself and get a manicure , since I'm so bored outta my head. lol. So worth it for $20 :) ! hehe.

I got scared shitless watching Amnesia , The Dark Descent game play on youtube ,thanks to a certain somebody (you know who you are .lol ) . It's addictive and yet so scary. When the commentator started shouting, I started shouting ! haha . I must have woke up the whole neighborhood (in exaggeration).  I've only watched till part 4 , don't think I have the stomach to watch more. haha. Think it'll be the scariest when those monsters start chasing after you ! Man.. and this is how I spent 11.11.11 .

You guys can check out the plot on wiki , like what I did :) I'm not proud of it , but at least I can sleep the night when I already know the ending. hehe ~

Robbie's bistro

Today I had lunch/my breakfast with mom, sis and a few of mom's friends (the aunties. lol ) at this really cute bistro in South Dunedin :) The mains were much like home-cooked food , but at a very reasonable price. Wouldn't mind going back there again . hehe.

oh! and it was sunny today! Hopefully it'll last till the end of Feb

Was at K Mart earlier today with sis and at the same time accompanying Alia to get toys for her "kids" :) It was kinda fun looking for what toy to get , brings you back to memory lane . lol

Anyhoo , while we were browsing , we stumbled upon a few toys that I will never get for my kids , if I had any. They look so creepy , I think they'll give kids nightmares !

Had a long chat with mom yesterday before going to bed . Think we only went to bed at 3 am. I learned a couple of things , which mom said was very true ..

A few of my favorite things

Black eye liner. I'm sorry if I sound too shallow , but I can never imagine myself without eye liner. 

I'm a sucker for lace. seriously

I love heels :) But I have this "thing" where I'll never sacrifice comfort for looks. Hence, I own very few heels. sigh. How I wish heels were more comfortable. 

Anything Paris related. I know MANY have tried telling me Eiffel tower is just a piece of scrap metal. But I love it anyways. So there! 

I have a new found love for skinny jeans. lol , bought my first pair this year :) I know I know , I sound pathetic, but I never knew I could wear em (cos I have big hips) until this year. 

Massages. mmm~ the best way to start the day . My favorite so far is massage+hot stones. I think this year , I know where all my money went. lol.

FRUITS !! nah I kid . haha. It's umm a love hate relationship. I still won't like em even if you cute them up into cute lil heart shapes :P

Graduation is just around the corner :) just finished packing a large suitcase full of clothes. While packing I felt a lil nostalgic. Remembering those times how I started my new life in Dunners, battling the cold winds , living without family, making new friends, and being introduced to the life of a Scarfie. Looking back, those were really good times.

Now, I'm preparing for my new life in Welly. Found a few places that look "livable" in the Hutt. And already arranged to view those places when I go up later. Man ... I'm gonna miss Dunners and the people in it. Too many memories !
