I remember the first time you said hello. I was sitting there minding my own business, thinking all guys are dick-heads. I was in my black leather jacket . I chose to wear it that day to reflect my mood. I wasn't feeling my best-est. And I thought the whole world should know that day .
I remember you in your bicycle gear. You were wearing your usual red jacket , holding on to your bike helmet. You seemed like you were rushing, heading towards the back exit , but decided to say hello anyways. Funny how that day it was so empty at Hunters Centre. You said you were from Malaysia. In my head I was thinking - another dickhead , whose Malaysian with and ang-moh accent. COME ON !! be real laaa . I must admit , I did find you cute but slightly sarcastic :)
But although I thought you were a lil cocky at first , I felt a nudge . I knew things weren't "ideal" but .. as cliche as it sounds , I knew it was meant to be .
Our first movie date was "THIS IS IT" by Michael Jackson. I made such an effort that night :( Sis was telling me what to wear, what make up I should use etc etc. I remember you leaving me speechless when you commented that you liked my perfume. I remember me stuttering that it feels like we havent met in ages (although it was only 2 weeks) . I remember us walking down George st , it was a chilly night , but I felt warm inside (i know super cliche right!) . We hobo-ed for hours. I loved every minute of it. It was simple. You made me smile , you made me happy.
I reminisce those days , I never want to forget how it started and how we began. That was the beginning of something wonderful , that will always be a big part of my life. Now that we've been together for 3 years , I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you.
ps: the kids will hear this story over and over again till they get sick of it. Cos this is the story of how I met the most awesome man EVER , their dad.
